Google completes Page Experience desktop update rollout

“The page experience rollout is now complete for desktop,” confirms Google Search Central in a tweet. The Page Experience rollout for desktop has now been complete which started on 22nd February 2022. The update has now been completed and the desktop page experience ranking update is completely live on 03 March 2022.

Back in January 2022, Google added a dedicated tab in the search console dashboard for the desktop Page Experience reports. Since then, the company has been working on rolling out the update gradually.

The page experience rollout is now complete for desktop.

What does it mean?

Earlier this year, Google released an update, making Core Web Vitals OR Page Experience Update for mobile. This means that for ranking, Google will use these as signals. The update was gradually released for mobile, however, the desktop has been released now. Now, Google will use page experience signals as a ranking factor for desktops as well.
